In 2009, then 13-year-old Jennifer Smart established the foundation to help kids and the things they care about. From a young age, Jennifer had always split her allowance and gift money three ways – spend, save, and donate. After beginning in radio at 6, she wanted to take her experience as a broadcaster and use it to encourage others to give back.

AM1240-bevelIn 2010, the foundation purchased KALY AM 1240 in Albuquerque from the Walt Disney Company. Jennifer used this platform to air her 24/7 radio format, JENNiRADIO, spreading positive messages with family-friendly music and other entertainment.

While in Albuquerque, Jen and team developed the Find Your Voice program, which helps sick, healthy and disadvantaged kids and teens improve communication skills and increase self esteem.

KJNI-DIN_150In 2015, the foundation launched KJNI-LP 101.7 FM in California, bringing family-friendly music and entertainment to the Inland Empire. In 2016 they built the Find Your Voice Center in the Outlets at Lake Elsinore, and opened the doors to the first Find Your Voice workshop there in November of that year. Workshops are held monthly for kids 7-12 and teens. For more about the program and center, visit FYVcenter.org.
